Darryl Jamieson is a Canadian-born artist whose creative journey has evolved through technology, design, and hands-on artistic expression. Born in Toronto, Canada, Darryl moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1980. His Canadian roots and years spent in the United States have both influenced his perspective, while his experiences around places such as Georgian Bay continue to provide inspiration for much of his work.

Darryl began exploring his creative side professionally in 2000, when he went to school to study graphic design and website development. Working with digital design introduced him to the importance of color, composition, balance, and visual communication. Although his career would take him in different directions over the years, that creative foundation never disappeared and eventually found a new outlet.

In 2021, Darryl attended a liquid art epoxy resin class where he learned the fundamentals of working with resin. That experience opened the door to an entirely new form of creativity. He began experimenting with acrylics, epoxy resin, color, texture, natural materials, and different techniques, eventually developing a diverse collection of original artwork. What started with learning the basics of resin quickly became a passion that continues to grow with every new piece.

Outside of his artwork, one of the most important parts of Darryl's life is being a father. He has three grown sons whom he is extremely proud of.
